FIND DENSITY FROM EDGE - DEFINITION

Density(d)=VolumeMass

d=Volume of unit cellMass of unit cell

Mass of unit cell=N0Z×M

Where, Z=effective number of atom in unit cell

M=molar mass

N0=Avogadro’s number

Therefore,

d=N0×a3Z×M

Where, a=edge length of unit cell

ATOMIC MASS AND NUMBER OF ATOMS FROM DENSITY AND EDGE LENGTH - DEFINITION

M=Za3×ρ×No

Z=Ma3×ρ×No

where a is the edge length, M is the molar mass of the atom, Z is the number of atoms per unit cell, No is the Avogadro number.

Hope that helps..!!
