3rd equation of motion : v^2=u^2+2as

derivation :

we know that,

avg velocity = total distance /total time

(u+v)/2. = s/t.

[by 1st eq of motion]

[v=u+at; v-u=at;]

[(v-u) /a=t]

(u+v)t=2s

(u+v)(v-u/2)=2s

(v^2-u^2)=2s

v^2-u^2=2as

v^2=u^2+2as

hope it helps!
