area is measured in Unit Squares

i.e we count the no. of square in a region to measure area.

Proof:-

assume a Rectangle with a length and b breadth.

it has area region enclosed inside it. and it's 2D i.e it has length and breadth.

area is the sum of length breadth times

no. of squares will be a/1 × b/1 = ab
