derive the unit force using second law of motion . a force of 5N produces on acceleration of 8m/s on a mass m1 and on acceleration ofv24m/son mass m2.
what acceleration would the same force provide if both masses tied together

F= rate of change of momentum
F=m(v-u)/t
F=ma
1) 5=m1×8
m1=5/8
2) 5=m2×24
m2=5/24

3) F= (m1+m2)×a
5=(5/8+5/24)×a
5 = 5(4/24)×a
a=3m/s^2

shrutisharma22feb: may I know why we have to add f1 and f2 ?
shrutisharma22feb: sorry that's m1 and m2
shrutisharma22feb: oh....ok
shrutisharma22feb: I understood
shrutisharma22feb: thank you for the help
