Epidermis

The dermatogen gives rise to the epidermis of stem and other arial parts of the plant.In the root part of the plant it gives rise to the epiblema and root cap. Dermatogen is single layer of outer most cell formed from apical meristem.It is also called as protoderm.Histologically it gives rise to epidermis.
