Answer:

Ghandi’s Role:

during the national movement, Mahatma Gandhi made the eradication of un-touchability one of his goals. He had once said that the way 'Untouchability' was spreading in the Hindu Society, it was against both the man and the God. It was like a poison eating into the very vitals of Hindu religion.

Br. Ambedkar:

He also joined hands with Gandhi in the Harijan movement, which protested against the social injustices faced by people belonging to backward castes in India. All India Scheduled Caste Federation, the party founded by Ambedkar, 1946. he tried to promote education to untouchables and uplift them. His first organised attempt was his establishment of the central institution Bahishkrit Hitakarini Sabha, intended to promote education and socio-economic improvement, as well as the welfare of "outcastes", at the time referred to as depressed classes.
