the the great revolt of 1857 was very long revolt which was led by the soldiers of India the soldiers who worked in the British army was forced to cross the sea which was not acceptable by the Indian soldiers and the Indian soldiers were asked to tear the rifle in which there was cow and pig meat the Muslims considered the pig as discouraged one and and the Hindus had the cow as a sacred one there was a very big revolt during 1857 and The revolt was crushed by Britain

the Indian soldiers were not given any any promotions in the services and the British soldiers discouraged their practices
