1. The main reason for failure of Humayun against Sher Shah Suri was concentration of his entire force against Sultan Bahadur of Gujarat.





2. Though Humayun annexed Gujarat and Malwa, Sher Shah Suri sacked the Mughal granaries and left Humayun vulnerable. When the two armies met at Chausa, Sher Shah went back on a peace treaty and attacked the Mughals at night.





3. Humayun’s refusal to act swiftly against his enemies and his plotting brothers were the main reasons behind his loss to Sher Shah Suri.
