describ an activity to show the patterm of magnetie field lines ofa bar maynet with the help ofa candboand piece and iron tillings .b)State how resistance of a conductor is affected when: A low current passes through it for a short duration A heavy current passecs through it for about 30 seconds

Experiment to show pattern of magnetic filed lines :
Apparatus : Cardboard, white paper, wire, it on fillings, source of electricity.
Procedure : Take a cardboard and stick a white paper to it. After that take a wire that can conduct electricity, you can find those wires in an electric shop. Now make a hole on cardboard Insert the wire in cardboard such that the wire becomes perpendicular to the cardboard. Now sprinkle some iron fillings on surface of cardboard. Now connect the wire to a source of electricity which have a switch. After that Turn the switch ON and you will observe that as the current passes through the Conductor the iron fillings arrange themselves in a closed curved path. This closed curved path represents the magnetic field lines.
See attachment for better learning .
Resistance is the ability of a conductor to oppose the flow of electric current through it. Now the resistance of a conductor is inversely proportional to current. If current is high then resistance will be low.
Now according to the first case if a low current passes through it for short period of time then thr resistance will be higher.
And in the second case there is low currently buy it passes for a long period of time than the first case, so in this case resistance will be decrease.

More to know :-
Ampere's right hand grip rule helps to understand direction of magnetic field due to a current carrying conductor. It says hold a conductor in your hand perpendicularly, now it says that if direction of thumb indicates direction of flow of current then the direction in which fingers are curled shows the direction of magnetic field.
