1.King Louis XVI became the king of France when he was 20 years of age.
2.On 5th may,the general estate meeting was called but the members of the third estate boycotted the meeting demanding 1 person 1 vote instead of 1 estate 1 vote.This led to the formation of national assembly on 20th June.
3.On 14th July Bastille was attacked.So the king had to give recognition to the national assembly which drafted a constitution and passed laws to check the powers of the king.
4.The king signed a secret treaty with Prussia to control revolutionaries in France which consequently made the famous political club Jacobin storm the palace tuileries and keep the king and his family hostage for several hours.They then imprisoned the royal family.
5.On 21st September,elections were held and all 21 year old men in France cast their votes which led to abashment of monarchy in 1792 and declaration France as a republic.On 21st January king Louis XVI was executed and Robespierre became the director of France.
