To describe the light take least time here the Fermat's principle is used.
- This principle describes that due to the property of light to travel in straight line which helps to describe the property of light to travel fast.
- If we consider a rubber tube and put a burning candle in front of the tube.
- When we see from the hole of the tube as the tube is straight we are able to see the light of candle
- But when we bent the rubber tube we are not able to see the light
- That shows if we bent which means the light straight path is broke due to which length of the tube increases.
- As with increase it take much time to travel until till it reaches in his straight path.
