Describing about construction site next to my school and its impact on the school activities:

• Near our school there is a major metro construction work going on. While metro is a necessity of our state and city, yet this being done near to the school, the construction project is having an adverse impact on the school, students and teachers. Due to constant construction work there is too much of a disturbance by way of sound of drillers, and other heavy machines.
• The work continues for the whole day and since we spend almost 8 hours at school, this construction work has had a telling impact on all of us especially students’ health. There are large trucks and cranes that pass through the road that is in front of our school, because of which, at the time of dispersal children, parents find it difficult to cross the road or park their vehicles.  
• Children must cross the road and walk quite a distance to where the parents can park their cars, causing inconvenience and also risk. Movements of heavy vehicles in front of the school, particularly when students are leaving to home and coming out of the school gate and walking towards their vehicles, can lead to accidents and injury to the students.
• Additionally, it causes huge traffic jam near our school. Due to the construction site the traffic is a constant problem during the school hours. Pollution is considered as the most disturbing and adverse impact. This construction site is known as one of the major contributors of environmental concerns such as continuous honking of the vehicles, along with noises from the construction site. Because of this, teachers’ voice is not clearly audible when they are teaching us. Furthermore, the noise pollution also causes us severe pain to ears and headache.
