In the end of the reaction you will be able to see bubbles and magnesium will be dissolved.

Explanation:

When the Reaction takes place between Magnesium Carbonate (MgC03)  and Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) the products formed are Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2) and Carbonic Acid (H2CO3).

Now Carbonic acid have some properties and one of them is  unstable in troposphere and lower stratosphere in gas phase, it will break down into H2O and CO2.

This reaction is termed as double displacement Reaction

Now you will Bubbles popping out of the Solution which is the CO2 gas and MgCO3 will dissolve in water (H2O).
