• add warm sulfuric acid to a beaker and magnesium oxide then stir, continue adding the magnesium oxide until is in excess. After it is heated, filter it using filter paper and funnel to remove any excess magnesium oxide. Heat the remaining solution in an evaporating basin and leave it to crystallise. When this is done pat it dry to form the crystals.
