Describe a plan trip or a train journey that evey things went wrong

Just before the day of the trip, one of my friend said that he had a meeting abroad on that day while the other said that he is having an important family function to attend on that day.

... We couldn't go to the trip as planned. Everything went wrong. And, I cancelled my train tickets and stayed home.

I planned a train trip to Bangalore with my 4 college friends.

This was planned long ago.

But due to our work commitments we couldn’t implement it.

I booked tickets to all of us online and informed them.

Everybody promised that they would come.

Just before the day of the trip, one of my friend said that he had a meeting abroad on that day while the other said that he is having an important family function to attend on that day.

Another one said he has an interview on that day.

Only two of us were left and we felt terrible.

We couldn’t go to the trip as planned.

Everything went wrong.

And, I cancelled my train tickets and stayed home.
