We are requested to describe a procession that we saw recently. The procession that I will describe is the procession that was taken for the Dalit person who died

• This was a procession that took place in 2019 in Tamil Nadu state.
• The procession was peacefully taking the dead body of the Dalit to burn it.
• Suddenly this procession was bought to a stop without anyone stopping it.
• The body was thrown from the 20 feet bridge instead of being taken to the burning ground.
• This incident left a very lasting impression on my mind.
• A case was held about this incident and the Madras High Court held that no one had actually stopped the procession that why did this incident happen.
• During the case, it was found that the Dalits needed a seperate burial ground for their dead.
• This was ruled against as every person in our country is equal and no partiality should be shown to someone or some class.
