Kunwar Singh (1777 – 26 April 1858) was a notable leader during the Indian rebellion of 11857. He belonged to a royal Ujjainiya(Panwar) Rajput house of Jagdispur, currently a part of Bhojpur district, Bihar, India. At the age of 80, he led a select band of armed soldiers against the troops under the command of the British East India Company. He was the chief organiser of the fight against the British in Bihar. He is popularly known as Veer Kunwar Singh.

Kunwar Singh was born in 30 November 1777 in Jagdishpur currently a part of Bhojpur District Bihar India.He was a large land owner, apart from being a large land owner Kunwar Singh was popularly known as Raja aur Babu Kunwar Singh in his area. At the age of 80,he led a selected band of ARMED soldier against the troops under the command of British East India company. In this Revolution (1857) he defeated them by the policy (Gorilla walfare policy) he had succeeded at his fort of Arah by passing the British general Markar. But died due to sever injuries in 26 April 1858 in Jagdishpur
