- Take an iron rod and glass rod .
- Rub them against each other .
- Now bring some paper (small pieces) near the iron rod and glass rod one by one.
- We observe that both attract the paper pieces.
- Now bring both rods near each other .
We observe that bot rod starts to repel each other.
Thus we can conclude that total charge on a pair of objects that have been rubbed together is zero.
