The following is a write-up on a problem faced by me when I was at school and how I solved my problem:
When I was studying at school, a school senior would come to me daily and take from me my pocket money forcibly. He threatened to thrash me if I say this to my parents or teachers. This continued for many days and I was very afraid of him and dint inform my parents and teachers.
But one day when my teacher taught a lesson on how one should be bold and face problems without fear, I began to realize what I was doing was wrong.
So I informed my class teacher and my parents about the bullying senior student and they informed my school principal who summoned the senior student and warned him on the consequences and gave him a last warning. The senior student realized his mistake and promised that he won’t repeat the mistake. Thus I solved my problem by being bold and facing the problem.

There was the time when I joined this school in the 8th standard. Being a North Indian, I was not at all affluent in Tamil, the main language of Tamil Nadu, where my father was transferred – initially my classmates thought I was being snobbish – they used to make fun of me in their language – none of which I could understand – Sometimes, I was the subject of their bully, as well – the school being an English medium school, I had no problem with studies and was always ready with my answers – even that disturbed my classmates, and they tried to harass me in every possible way – finally a helpful girl called Lakshmi helped me out – She taught me to read, write and speak Tamil – she also helped me and stood up for me when I was subjected to bully – ultimately we became the best of friends.
