The trade of meat offers a good example of a connected process.Actually before refrigerated ships were invented on introduced the animal were taken alive for a long distance in the shops. Many in the voyage fell ill ,lost weight and also died and some were alive but we're unfit to eat. This when the meat was unloaded over the place the demand was more and so was the prices of those meat.It was a luxury for someone in Europe to have a stomach full of meat.
Then came the refrigerated ships which enabled transport of perishable foods over a long distance. It was done as the meat was slaughtered from the starting point and then imputed in the fridges or refrigerators. This also reduced cost of shopping and also the pricw of meat. Now the poors can have a more varied good diets in an applicable way.It helped in the economic feasibility for the poors in European countries.

Heya friend here's your answer.
The refrigeration plants on board play a vital role in carrying refrigerated cargo and provisions for the crew on board. In reefer ships, the temperature of the perishable or temperature sensitive cargo such as food, chemical, or liquefied gas, is controlled by the refrigeration plant of the ship. The same plant or a smaller unit can be used for maintaining the temperature of different provision rooms carrying food stuffs for crew members.
Hope this helps you... ☺️☺️☺️
