Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is a teacher training program that is oriented towards people who want to involve in the primary education of a child. The importance of this training course is as follows:

a) The first few years of a child's life are crucial for cognitive and social learning. A trained teacher would be able to aid the child to grow healthy.

b) More and more qualified primary teachers are very essential in a country like India as the teacher-child ratio is very poor. There are millions are children from economically impovorished background who are not admitted into schools.

d) This is a job-oriented course which opens up opportunities in primary, montessori schools for careers.

e) Early education is an important step to a healthy and productive nation.
