the three parallel ranges of Himalayas are as follows :-

⏺HIMADRI - himadri is the innermost and the northeast range of Himalayas. it's average height is 6000 meters. this range is the highest range among the three ranges of Himalayas and is basically covered with snow. the core is composed if granite and metamorphic rocks. loftiest peaks in himadri - nanda Devi, kanchenjunga etc.

⏺HIMACHAL - this range is not as high as the himadri range. it's average height is 3700 meters - 4500 meters. this range is also called lesser Himalaya. this range is composed of granite and metamorphic rocks. all the important hill stations belong to this range such as dharamshala, Dalhousie, manali, nanital, Shimla etc. it snows here in winter.  &lt;p&gt;</p><p></p><p>⏺SHIWALIK - shiwalik is the outermost range of Himalayas. and i.e are called outer Himalaya. their average height is 900 meters - 1100 meters. this range is made up of unconsolidated river deposits and are more prone to earthquakes and landslides. some narrow valleys are found between shiwaliks and Himachal known as duns. &lt;/p&gt;
