Answer:
There are 4 types of drainage patterns on the basis of their flowing pattern-dendritic, trellis, radial and rectangular.
dendritic-this pattern resembles branches of trees. ex, the indo-gangetic plains.
trellis-in this pattern tributaries join the main rivers at right angles. ex, the old folded mountains of chotanagpur plateau.
radial-in this pattern, tributaries originate from a central high peak. ex, rivers like narmada, son, mahanadi originate in the amarkanthak range.
rectangular-it joins main rivers at right angles and juncution, differs from trellis as it is far more irregular and its streams are neither long nor parallel as in trellis. ex, pattern found in the vindhyan mountains of india.
