Answer:

Effect of increase of temperature on ice:

Experiment ::

Materials required = A burner, Ice cubes, Beaker.

Activity =

1. Put the ice cubes inside the beaker.

2. Place the beaker on the burner.

3. Let the burner heat the beaker for some time.

Observation - After letting the burner to heat the beaker for some time, you'll notice that ice melts to water. This is because the heat increases the kinetic energy of the particles which led to a increase in their inter particle spaces and also a decrease in inter particle forces of attraction due do which the particles move more rapaidly converting to liquid.

(Now continuing the activity)

4. When all the ice melts to water let the beaker still get the heat.

Observation = The water slowly changes to vapours. This is because the heat increases the kinetic energy of the particles of the water which led to a increase in their inter particle spaces and also a decrease in inter particle forces of attraction due do which the particles move more rapaidly converting to vapours.

This experiment illustrate the effect of change in temperature in ice.
