Activity to separate a mixture of ammonium chloride and NaCl
Aim- to separate a mixture of ammonium chloride and NaCl.
Process-heat the mixture of the above two.
observation- fumes of ammonium chloride are formed which can be collected. the leftover is NaCl.
conclusion-since ammonium chloride has the ability to sublime on heating, this property can be used to separate the mixture as NaCl does not sublime.
