Answer:

Aim:to find out the relative strength of intermolecular attractive forces in the states of matter

required:

  • water
  • ice
  • boiling water so that you can observe water vapours on the top of the container .

method:

  1. observe all the three States of matter carefully
  2. take liquid that is water and pour it into containers of different shapes
  3. do the same thing with solids and with the gas .
  4. record ur observations in every case.

Observation:

you would observe that only water and gas could take shape of the container but the solid ice couldn't because of the intermolecular forces .

Conclusion:

the solid state of matter is having the most intermolecular force where as the gas would have been the lowest molecular forces between its molecule .
