The diffusion of potassium permanganate in water.
Explanation.
Diffusion is a process by which a substance move from area of high concentration to area of low concentration. The diffusion of solid in liquid is also known as dissolution. The slow diffusion of solids in liquid can be observed in the experiment where potassium permanganate is added to
water.
Place some potassium permanganate in a beaker, add some water to it and observe. You can see that the purple colour is slowly spreading in the water.
This is caused due to the diffusion of the solid particles of the potassium permanganate into the water/liquid.
