procedure:
- take 10 ml of hydrochloric acid in a test tube, and with the of tweezers hold up the test above the Bunsen burner.now place the matchstick right above the mouth of the test tube.
- now take 10 ml of sulphuric acid in a test tube, and with the of tweezers hold up the test above the Bunsen burner.now place the matchstick right above the mouth of the test tube.
- similarly repeat the experiment with the other acids too
observation: the lit matches go off with a pop sound with confirms the presence of hydrogen
