Apparatus required:
Beaker,Watch glass, Bunsen burner, water and few drops of ink, tripod stand.
Procedure:
---> Fill half of the beaker with water
.---> Place a watch glass on the mouth of beaker.
--->Put a few drops of ink on the watch glass.
---> Now, let start heating the beaker.
Observation:
We find the water evaporates and ink is left in watch glass.
Conclusion:
Ink is a mixture of a dye in water.Thus by evaporation method, we can separate the volatile compound from its non volatile compound.
