Aim : To prove that liquids exert equal pressure at same depth

Requirements : Water, trough, weighing machine

Procedure :

1) Pour water in the trough such that it is half way filled.

2) Keep the trough on the weighing machine and note the readings.

3) Keep the trough again on the machine but only 2/3 part of it should be on the machine and the other part should be outside the machine plateform and note the readings.

4) Again keep it on the machine but 1/2 of it should be kept and the other half should be outside the plateform and note the readings.

Observation : The 3 readings are exactly the same.

Conclusion : The experiment proves that liquids exert equal pressure at same depth.

This will surely help you.

Answer:

Take a plastic bottle in a tub , fill it with water, make 4 holes around the bottle at equal heights, we can see that water flows out with equal pressure from all holes. thus we observe that liquids exert equal pressure at same depth.
