Describe an activity to show that salt solution in water conduct electricity. Draw the related ( big) figure on the front page of chart paper & properly label it. On the back side of the chart paper write the activity in past tense, like( I took a beaker ).
Answers
Answer:
Aim of the activity; to show that solution of salts, in , water, can conduct electricity
Materials required: beaker, water, dissolved common salt in that water , two graphite rods, and zero watt LED bulb and batterirs with two terinals with graphite rods.
PROCEDURE: take a beaker and fill it half with water . Dissolve some common salt/sodium chloride in that water . Then connect two graphite rods with the two terminals of battery , with zero watt LED light in between graphite rods. Now then dip these graphite rods in the solution of salt.
OBSERVATION/CONCLUSION: the bulb starts flow of current ''in short'' (started glowing)

Answer:
On adding the salt solution to distilled water then electricity starts flowing through the water and the bulb starts glowing
Explanation:
Activity: To show that by adding salt solution in distilled water then electricity starts flowing.
Apparatus required: Distilled water, Salt solution, Glass beaker, Bulb, Battery, Copper Wire.
Procedure:
- First step: I took a glass beaker.
- Second step: Then I Put distilled water in a glass beaker.
- Third step: After it, I connect the copper wire to the positive and negative terminals of the bulb.
- Third step: I Put one terminal of the wire connected to the bulb in the distilled water in the glass beaker and attach the other to the battery.
- Fourth step: I attached a piece of copper wire to the battery and put the other end of the wire in the glass beaker with distilled water, the bulb did not glow.
- Fifth step: I added salt solution in distilled water in the glass beaker, bulb started to glow.
Observation: The bulb will not glow when the beaker is filled with distilled water because distilled water does not contain any ions for the conduction of the electricity.
But on adding salt solution in the distilled water bulb starts glowing because the salt solution contains free ion and on adding it to the distilled water then electricity starts flowing and circuit completes.
Result: The salt solution is a good conductor of electricity.
