Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.
The Annual Day 2010 was woven around the theme ‘PRATIBIMB’ and the Prize Distribution was entitled ‘HARMONY’.
Mr. R. P. Mittal, IPS, IGP, Zone-II, Jalandhar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Cultural Show – PRATIBIMB. Mr. Vinay Bublani, PCS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar was the Chief Guest for the Prize Distribution function.
The functions were presided over by honourable Vice President (Apeejay Education Society), Mr. Yash Raj Aggarwal. The other dignitaries present were Mr. Vinay Raj Aggarwal, Secretary (Apeejay Education Society) and various members of Board of Governors.
Principal Mrs. Madhu Sharma extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present. Talking of the theme of the Cultural Show – PRATIBIMB, she expressed that FEMALE FOETICIDE was the greatest menace of the present century. She articulated that each member of the society has to take a strong decision to fight against this evil and welcome the birth of a girl child. The one–hour long Cultural Show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated. The journey of a girl child from an unwanted thing to a celebrity in the society was depicted through a blend of drama and dance. The satire on the thought - process of humans by the animals and the depiction of dreams and desires of an unborn girl was an eye-opener for the audience.
The Chief Guest Mr.R.P. Mittal was all praise for the show. He congratulated the school for taking such an edifying topic which requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part.
The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas. The function included Saraswati Vandana, Orchestra by the students and Fusion Dance.
Principal Mrs. Madhu Sharma extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented the Annual Report. She read out the achievements of the school – both Academic and Co-curricular and wished success to the students who could not make up for the prizes.
