*AiM : TO DESIGN AN EXPERIMENT TO DEMONSTRATE HYDROTRPISM

*MATERIALS REQUIRED: YOU NEED TWO BEAKERS , GRAM SEEDS , PLASTIC BOX (TRANSPARENT ) , WATER , FILTER

*PROCEDURE =

1. TAKE SOME GRAM SEEDS AND KEEP THEM IN A TUBE MADE OF FILTER PAPER AT CENTER.

2.BEND THE TUBE INTO U-SHAPE.

3. TAKE ONE BEAKER FILLED WITH WATER AND ANOTHER ONE EMPTY.

4. PLACE ONE END OF THE TUBE IN ONE BEAKER AND SECOND END IN ANOTHER.

5. COVER THE APPARATUS (SET-UP ) WITH A PLASTIC BOX SO AS TO ENSURE THAT THE MOISTURE IS MAINTAINED.

6. KEEP THE APPARATUS UNDISTURBED FOR 2-3 DAYS.

* OBSERVATION : WE OBSERVED THAT THE BUDS GREW TOWARDS THE BEAKER CONTAINING WATER.

*RESULT : hYDROTROPISM (MOVEMENT TOWARDS WATER) TAKES PLACE AS A RESULT.
