Fill the beaker with water. Heat beaker with bunsen burner at the bottom, Add small potassium permanganate. You will see a purple stream in the water rising up and falling back at the bottom of the beaker :)

Answer:

Drop a large potassium permanganate crystal in a beaker containing a little water .The crystal starts dissolving in water and colouring it. Slowly pour more water into the beaker without disturbing the crystal. Heat the water using a very small flame just below the crystal.

Explanation: You will observe that the coloured water rises from the place where the heat is supplied.After moving some distance it comes down along the sides of the beaker.
