Sublimation is the process of conversion of solid into gas without undergoing the liquid phase. Some real life examples of the process of sublimation is as follows :When we worship God in our homes, we use a substance called camphor. This camphor when subjected to heating, starts undergoing combustion and finally turns into gas without becoming into liquid.Yet another example is naphthalene. We use white coloured balls of naphthalene in our bathrooms to give a perfuming smell to our bathroom. You might have observed that the naphthalene disappears into the atmosphere by becoming a gas but it does not undergo through the liquid phase.
