Describe an experiment to study the factors on which the resistance of a conducting wire depends. What is meant by electrical resistivity of a material? Derive its SI unit.

electrical resistivity is the number of successive resistance had been taken place in an electrical  wire.

Experiment:-

Take 2 copper isolated wires and make them an electromagnet by making  n number of turns of that copper wires around the coil.

  • Increase the length of the wire.

         L ∝ R

  • Increase the area of that coil which is covered with the copper.

        \frac{1}{A}  ∝ R

  • Increase the temperature of the electromagnet.                                                                    L ∝ R
