The incident in which I despite of knowing the truth, kept quiet was the most memorable incident that have ever happened in my life. Once I was going for a trip with my friends in Gangtok, and we boarded station from Howrah junction.

When the train started it's journey it was feeling so good, being with friends in an AC compartment, we all were gossiping on the train. Suddenly we noticed there was a beautiful scenery, which we wanted to take photo, but in running condition it was not possible to click, so one of my friend just pulled the chain, and train stopped, and then train stopped. It was a fine day on the roads of Kharagpur. I was traveling by a road. The sun was not so bright, But there was definitely feeling of tiredness due to the heat.

Suddenly A thief stole my purse and ran away. I quickly screamed for help and ran after him. After running for a distance, he fell down. I went near him and got to see that he was handicapped.

By then, Police siren was being heard. I believe someone might have called them. I inquired the thief as why he had to steal. He told that, He came to this town with his parents. In an accident, He and his father got injured. To get him operated, He had to arrange money somehow. He also added that, He knew no one here.

I felt really sorry for his situation. Police arrived, and asked me if i knew who the thief was. I told them that, I couldn't catch him and he ran away somewhere.

Later, I gave him the money in my purse and also helped his father to complete his operation as The doctor in the hospital was my Uncle. He felt really happy and was in tears.

This can be one incident where you had to hide the truth even after knowing it.
