A reasonable temperature is important for germination.
Take two Beakers and name them A and B.
Place some Green gram seeds on cotton wool in each of the two measuring utensils.
Keep measuring utensil A in a cold room and container B in the standard room temperature.
In multi-day or two the seeds in Beaker B will develop while the seeds in beaker A won't hint at any germination or may sprout following a few days yet not to a degree the seeds in Beaker A germinates.
Hence germination can happen in an appropriate temperature
