-For the past few days, I had been researching how I could start my own e-commerce business so I could create a source of income.

-Upon hours of surfing the net at home, I came across a very attractive video on Youtube that really CAPTURED MY INTEREST.

-The title was so incredibly catchy that I couldn’t control myself and clicked the video.

-Well, as far as I remember, the title of the video was ‘The Ultimate Guide To Start Your Own Online Business’.

-Just by reading the title, I knew RIGHT OFF THE BAT that’s the answer to my question on how I could venture an online business.

-With eagerness, I prepared my notebook so I could TAKE DOWN NOTES of what valuable things he would say and put my headphones.

-I was ALL EARS. He blabbered about his own business like what his products were about, how he’s able to make 6-7 figure sales each month, things like that, but I realized he didn’t really deliver the content which I was expecting based on the title oh his video.

-I tried to extend my patience by continuously watching the video thinking that I would get what I really came for.

-In the last two minutes of his video, he asked his viewers to signup to his online courses to know how to start an online business.

-I was so upset and annoyed because he didn’t deliver what he’s supposed to deliver to his viewers based on the title of his video.

-I wasted 10 minutes of my time and I felt bad about it.

-I’m pretty sure that I wasn’t the only one who felt the same way.

-If I had known that the video was just a CLICKBAIT for him to sell his online course, I wouldn’t have taken the trouble to spend my time watching it.

Answer:

I think I have also wasted a lot of time, but a recent occasion when it happened was during the Corona lockdown days.

India went into lockdown in the last week of March.

It was a shock for all of me as I had never faced or even imagined such a situation. For the first two-three weeks after the lockdown, the announced I did nothing.

I was at home with my family.

I thought it would be over soon, and I will be back in a daily routine soon.

Before the lockdown, I was planning to take the IELTS exam.

But I hadn’t bought any books to prepare.

During the lockdown, no bookstores were open.

I just kept thinking, I will start preparing once the lockdown is over and things start.

However, the government kept on extending the lockdown, and I just spent my time watching movies, playing mobile games.

I had a big list of things I wanted to learn – like baking a cake, 3 D origami, etc.

If not study, I could have learned them. And to be honest, I knew that a lot of material for IELTS was available online.

I could have downloaded it and started studying from the very first day.

I was at home the whole day, and I had no worries.

It would have been the best time to study.I really wish I would have utilized that time more productively.
