A challenge to providing infrastructure
Explanation:
Over 50% of the world's population is living in cities. Rural to urban shift has increased in the past 3 decades which has brought a challenge for the governments to build infrastructure for such a big population. The resources are always limited. Governments need revenue to build an accommodating infrastructure for the people which includes transportation, health facilities, etc. And this is when the squatter settlements come into action when the governments run short on land.
