As animals have become scarce in the Kalahari ,the bushmen are now relying more on gathering than on hunting. Many have given up hunting and gathering, and have found other means of Liveihood. For example, in Ghanzi , Botswana , many bushmen from the central Kalahari game reserve are now working on cattle ranches (large farms where cattle are reared) . The Government of Botswana has also given many bushmen new homes in village build for them outside their traditional territories. This has been done to help the bushmen improve the quality of life..
