1. Change of leaders lead to instability. 2. Only political competition, no scope for morality. 3. Consulting more people leads to delays. 4. Ordinary people don't know that what is good for them. 5. Leads to corruption.

Democracy can lead to instability as the leaders keep changing in a democratic government. Quick action is not possible as many people need to be consulted before making any kind of decision. There is lack of morality while the electorate competition provides scope for corruption and bad decisions. There have been many arguments both for and against democracy. Some arguments in favour of democracy are:

A democratic government is more accountable to its people

A democratic government can ensure better decisions.

Democracy enables people to deal with differences and conflicts in a peaceful manner.
