In India, the lower caste people were referred to as Untouchables because they were conferred the status of the lower caste-related people. This produced a cultural division in the community, which deep-rooted and India is still grappling to win this division.
Features of caste system prevailing in India are as follows;
a. The people belonging to the lower caste are assumed to be ‘unclean’ that their touch critically infects members of all other groups.
b. These groups are not permitted to enter in some of the temples by the ministers.
c. Forbidden from discussing with other cast members.
d. Forbidden from joining other upper-caste members.
e. Bonded Servitude.
