- The Ganga plain extends from Ghaggar to Teesta rivers.It is a part of Northern plains.
- It is spread over the states : Haryana, Delhi, U.P., Bihar, partly Jharkhand and West Bengal.
- They are very fertile and agriculturaly productive land covered with alluvial soil.
- Thick mangrove and evergreen forests grow in deltas of Ganga.
- It is also a very populated region.Major crops grown in this area are Rice, Wheat, Maize and Sugarcane etc.
