HELLO MAKE SURE YOU LIKE IT

Explanation:

1} Due to decreasing temperature and increasing heights, they have different types of vegetation. Broad-leafy trees e.g., oaks and chestnut are found at a height of 3,000 m. Wet temperate forests at 1,000-2,000 m and coniferous trees like deodar, silver fir etc. are found between 1,500-3,000 m. {2} These forests cover mostly the southern slopes of the Himalayas, places having high altitude in southern and north-east India. {3} At higher altitudes, alpine grasslands are found where the nomadic tribes graze their cattle. {4} At more higher altitudes, mosses and lichens form part of tundra vegetation. {5} These forests have Kashmir stag, spotted deer, yak, snow leopard, red panda, etc.

i) In mountainous areas, the decrease in temperature with increasing altitude leads to a corresponding change in natural vegetation thus making a succession of natural vegetation belts.

ii) The wet temperate type of forests are found between a height of 1000 and 2000 metres.

iii) Evergreen broad leaf trees such as oaks and chestnuts predominate.

iv) Between 1500 and 3000 metres, temperate forests containing coniferous trees like pine, deodar, silver fir, spruce and cedar are found.

v) These forests cover mostly the southern slopes of the Himalayas, places at high altitude in southern and North-eastern India.

vi) At higher elevations, temperate grasslands are common.

vii) At high altitudes, generally more than 3600 metres above the sea level, temperate forests and grasslands give way to the Alpine vegetation.

viii) Silver fir, junipers, pines and birches are the common trees of these forests.

ix) These get progressively stunted as they approach the snow- line, ultimately merging into the Alpine grasslands.

x) At higher altitudes, mosses and lichens form a part of the tundra vegetation.

xi) The common animals found in these forests are Kashmir stag, spotted dear, wild sheep, jack rabbit, Tibetan antelope, yak, snow leopard, squirrels, shaggy horn wild ibex, bear, rare red panda, sheep and goats with thick hair.

Hope it helps...:-)
