Answer:

Five features of secularism in India is as follows:

  1. Equality before law irrespective of caste, creed, gender or religion.
  2. Respect to all the citizens of the people without discriminating anyone on their backgrounds.
  3. Having no official religion/language. India as a country has no official religion or language. Hindi is preferred to be spoken for important decisions in parliament but its use is not forced on anyone.
  4. Freedom to profess, practice and propagate any religion based on one's choice in public as long as it does not affect anyone's fundamental rights.
  5. Allows state to intervene in matters of religion and ensuring no one is discriminated against these. Ex: Banning untouchability
