Dense mangrove forests arefound in the deltaic regions.
1.Most of the plants have their roots submerged under water.
2. Special type of trees called sundari trees are found in abundance which provide durable and hard timber.
3. Some other important trees are Palm, coconut, keora, agar etc., which are used for various purposes such as edible oil, essence and perfumes etc.
4. Main faunal species is Royal Bengal Tiger with turtles, crocodiles, gharials and snakes some other species.
5. Freshwater swampy forests are also found in some places which have broad leaved plants.
