*the French people were divided into 3 estates.the first 2 classes ENJOYED all the authorities and privileges. *the people of 3rd class were treated with great contempt ,were heavily taxed and had no authorities and privileges. *they were inspired by the American war if independence.*some French philosophers like Rousseau, montesquieu etc taught people to remove a king who does not rule according to the general will.*they were inspired by the ideas of liberty , equality and fraternity.
