In terms of Geography

1. As it requires 210 frost free days, sometimes it recieves frost which lead to failure of cotton crop.

2. It requires bright sunshine, sometimes monsoon rainfall may cause a problem in growth of cotton.

3. Cotton soil requires dry black soil of Deccan plateau, if rain will occur then it will make the soil moist and wet and hence the cotton crop will fail.

4. It requires 6-8 months to grow which is a very long time another fear is from the pests in this long period if they feed on these cotton then it will be a problem for growth of cotton.

5. But generally in these terms of Geography ni much problem are faced by the workers and India is said to be the home of cotton it is second largest producer of cotton after China.

In terms of History

The Manchester wanted it's raw cotton to be sold so the britishers implemented trade barriers so that the export of cotton fell from 33% in 1850 to 3% in 1860
