4). But during unfavorable conditions they form spores which consists of true walls.

- They are saprophytic protists.
- The body moves along decaying twigs and leaves engulfing organic material.
- Under some suitable conditions, they form an aggregation which is called plasmodium.
- This plasmodium grows and spreads over several feet.
- Under some unfavourable conditions, the plasmodium different shapes and forms fruiting bodies which are spore bearing.
- Spores posses through walls. They are extremely resistant and survive many years.
- The spores are dispersed by air currents.

- They are single celled eukaryotes.
- They primarily aquatic.
- They form link with plants, animals and fungi.
- The cell contains well defined nucleus and membrane bound organelles.
- These organisns may have flagella.
